with the expanded edition of Guitars, Cadillacs, etc..

the sound quality is so killer and it's from THE ROXY on the Sunset strip.. 1986!

I've actually had this on CD-R since it came out, but I found it used
last night. It's one of the best experimental/drone/progressive/ambient
releases I've heard. Masterful release from two of the genre(s) true
masters.

Well, I didn't grow up with them, of course, but I didn't realize that
they were re-recorded for some time until after I had them. I have I
think 2 of the original CD versions and the rest are the new versions,
mostly because they had the bonus tracks/liner notes ... but I've been
considering ditching my newer ones in favor of those ones.



Those don't have any of the artwork, notes, photos, or bonus tracks
through, which is why I always steered clear of them. You just can't
win with the Ozzy collection I suppose

The full album cover art is inside, as are the lyrics and most of the original sleeve photos, etc. So it's not a bad layout. I wasn't impressed at first when I saw them in the 90's, but I don't mind them now. You're right that the bonus tracks are missing, but I'll find those elsewhere. I just hate that he re-recorded Bob Daisley's and Lee Kerslake's tracks. It's just not right, IMO.

Yeah and the reason behind it really blows too...

I agree dude. They are classic albums with a classic sound. They changed the mix with the re-recordings. I actually have both versions of the Blizzard album, and I've always preferred the non-re-recorded mix ...

Maybe I'll just make a CD-R of all the bonus tracks before trading them out. That sounds good. I could get you a copy of that if you want as well.

She's a business woman ... not a music lover ... And many of the decisions I see her make end up ruining the music.

Yes, the reason was so that the original musicians would not get any payment or returns from the re-issues. More money for the Osbournes
