MEGADETH - Hidden Treasures 2 Umm...what's that? A guy from Europe sent it to me. It's only a CD-R, but apparently he has an original copy, probably a bootleg. It contains 8 Megadeth tracks that are not included on regular albums including "Never Say Die" (Sabbath cover) and "Strange Way" (Kiss cover). Shall we add it to my list then, and include the Duke Nukem tracks (if they're not already on it)?

| I like Hammerheart. I have not heard the Nordaland ones thougth. I pretty much lost interest after Octagon ... are those later ones any good? I've seen you mention a few really awesome black metal bands on here. What kind of stuff are you into (in that vein)? | |

| Oh yeah. I'm a big Satch guy. Crystal Planet, Engines of Creation, and The Extremist have to be my other favorites. As I said, everything Satriani brings back great memories. Except for Engines of Creation, which tends to be linked to some very painful experiences I went through ... but I still like the album a lot. It's funny how music can trigger such powerful emotional reactions. Are you into this guy? | |

| Everything I listed in the aquisitions thread plus:
Bethlehem - Dictius Te Necare Darkthrone - The Cult is Alive Creedence Clearwater Revival - Bayou Country Saint Vitus - Born Too Late/Thirsy & Miserable EP Black Sabbath - Paranoid Ahab - Call of the Wretched Sea Dark Funeral - Vobiscum Satanas
and whatever I put on in just a few minutes!
Concerning Mr Satriani, the guy's never had a dud IMO. Which is excellent, considering he's constantly experimented, delivery-wise, with each album. Despite the obvious technical similarities, each album has a unique mood or musical setting to it. Which is really cool if you ask me.
Plus the G3 DVDs are also really cool.

I actually have that Kekal CD, though I have not listened to it in ... probably years! I'll give it a spin this afternoon to remind myselfwhat it sounded like Antestor ... I'm not a huge fan, though I've only really heard the Return of the Black Death. I found it used years ago, and held onto it because it is so highly sought after, but to these ears the music pretty much utilized every black metal cliche that was around at the time. I've only heard a few MP3s off the new ones though. I have not heard of Ved Buens Ende or Sigh before, though I know the names. Both are more in the post-black category, am I correct? My black metal listening recently has consisted mostly of bands on the Norma Evangelium Diaboli label. Katarsis, Antaeus, Deathspell Omega in particular. Also Clandestine Blaze, Watain, Mord ...
