Hmmmm -- well I've got some GOOD NEWS from the D/G camp.

Due to my drug problem that you all know about, I haven't had much money for ANYTHING, let alone non-essentials like music, in the past year - year+1/2 or so. But since I re-started my old job with U.S.M. again about 3 weeks ago (and got offered a $2/hr raise to boot), I've been able to make a couple of LONG MATTAFAKKIN AWAITED Zia runs lately!! Interested to see what the D&G picked up, after all this time with no (errr, barely any) "Recent Aquisitions"?? Read on:

MOTORHEAD - Overkill [Remaster w/ bonus tracks] -- found this one used, it's one of the only early Motorhead discs I didn't have...
TYGERS OF PAN TANG - Spellbound [also a remaster w/ 5 bonus tracks] -- this one was also used, but for friggin 28.99!! I used my saved up "Zia points" to get it half off, though.

Like my newest haul?? I've got another one that I picked up yesterday, but I'll post it a little later. For now, bask in the glory of MOTORHEAD & the TYGERS!

Great NWOBHM band. I was introduced to them by Trog, as they seem relatively obscure in the scene. But the Spellbound album is a really great slab o' old school metal, hard to find as well.

It's ok, I had been on a long bargain bin binge, so I hadn't paid over $3 for my last 20 CD's or so. I felt I could afford a few things that I couldn't afford! I added Graveyard and My Uncle the Wolf to that pile too.

Nocturnal Fears-Ghosts From The Past compilation of mid 90's release from this old french Death Metal band. Cool music, bring back memories of 1992 to me
Moray Firth-A Paradigm Shift Dark french Melodeath, pretty good and original but with an awful drum sound
Amenra-Masse IIII powerful mystical Post-Hardcore with Drone, Sludge, Psychedelic and Stoner elements. A MUST HAVE!!!
Anaphylactic Shock-2000 Years ultra sick and dirty tar-like Sludge/Doom, me likes a lot.
Memory Garden-Carnival Carnage AT LAST!!! Buy bit when it's released in September, this is one of the best Epic Heavy/Doom release of 2008...check Youtube for their video, it rocks big time!!!

Got their Live In The Roar, and it's top notch NWOBHM/old style Hard Rock. They're not that obscure in the Old World, mind you : I keep seeing some LPs from them in second hand stores in my city

Sadus have a unique sound. They are thrash, but they rely heavily on the bass sound of Steve DiGiorgio. I personally like them a lot. I think you might be able to find them cheaper than $30.

TheEndRecords has them fairly cheap with free shipping.
