I know there are some fans here. I just am pumped for the new release. Plus, I don't know what it is but I just really like Dave. Oh sure he is an a-hole, but so am I. Maybe that is the affinity LOL.

I think he is hilarious, talented and putting out some great stuff. Plus I like the new Introspective Dave of late. I was watching the video for OF MICE AND MEN last night and I just got into that song all over again. It is sooooo true and I can really really relate to that video where he is looking back and trying to talk to himself in the past. If only I could go back and miraclously get through to me when I was 17, 21, 25 etc

I too am looking forward to getting and hearing the new 'Deth. Saw them open for H&H a month ago and they were just amazing.

According to the NMR, there is a video for the new Tout Le Monde posted at Megadeth.com. I am at work and can't view it but I will be anxious to see it (even though Lacuna Coil does very little for me).

I was at Gigantour 2 and had to suffer all the bands on the bill until finally Megadeth!! I am also looking forward to May 15th when the launch day will be!

Who was on that tour? Wasn't Anthrax and Nevermore? I thought those bands would be ok....

Lamb of God, Arch Enemy, were the worst! I can't stand music that just sounds the same from song to song. And the screaming ?! Overkill and Opeth were ok, but when you are there to see Megadave, everything else is just subpar!

Another tour I missed out on. Tickets were too much for my pocket book at the time and I just wasnt going to sit though Lamb of Crap and Crap Enemy and Crapeth. Overkill I wouldnt mind seeing though.

Yeah Spam of Cod and Arch Enema were too much to bear and Opey was a sleeper. Overkill was Thrashy and that was good, I missed Into Eternity and some other bands...

If I would have went to G1 I would have seen Dream Theater and Symphony X, now that would have been awesome!

I am stoked for a new album. The video, That One Night, is awesome. "deth rules.

I have laid ears to the new album...and the zombie likes what it hears!

The guitar work is infekkincredible! Good solid riffage and the first two songs tore my head off. There are some really good songs on here and some good songs. Overall a solid album. The production is great as well. Dave's vocals are a little buried BUT that is to be expected with Dave.

For anyone who is interested and cant wait.

After a few listens, the 2nd half is not as strong as the first......

I tend to agree some there Trog, however the album ends on a very good note...that being Burnt Ice....so I can live with it.

Megadeth is a HUGE band. But this album is getting NO PROMO runs at stores. Best Buy is usually good for $7.99 Heck even Walmart does the 9.72 thing. But nope! not on this one! The closest is Best Buy at 11.99.

Wow!! No promo huh? That is mindboggling! One of Mustaine's best pieces of work and people are going to miss out because WALMART and BEST BUY are too busy shoving Lamb of Crap down our throats.

While I honestly don't think the chain stores have an agenda to be honest.
Promos are fueled by the label. Little upstart Mono Vs. Stereo has figured this out and done major pushes (7.99 and mass marketing) with The Showdown and now Chasing Victory. The Militia Group has also used this angle to birth hits with bands like Cartel, etc. Of course Tooth and Nail and Solid State have also made big sales by running huge sales and features at Best Buy (like any 2 releases for $15, new releases have downloadable $2 off coupons). Heck even the last Underoath record went Gold.

Likewise, love them or hate them, the last Trivium record was a success and whetted the kiddies appetites precisely for fare like Megadeth. The label should be using this momentum to roll dave out and get at least a Gold record. We all know TSHF is a good album but honestly how many people heard it? It should have been one the strongest selling releases of the catalog but with bands that have seemed to have disappeared (and Megadeth commericially did after Youthinasia) fans need to be lured back and given incentive to take the band back for a spin.

So I blame the label. If you have noticed almost of the promotion for this record is coming from Dave. I don't know if RoadRunner is resting on its laurels, organizationally becoming a circle jerk, being cheap and expecting an easy cash cow from Megadeth or all the above. But as a fan it is frustrating because this is a great album, with legs, that could go the distance.

A local independent record store will be selling it for $9.99 ! So I'm buying
it tomorrow..

The promo on this sucks, I agree. I would love to stay indie but then I 'd never buy Solitude Aeturnus or Candlemass or Megadeth, or etc. What's to do?

I am loving this new Megadeth disc. Put it away for a couple days and pulled it out again today and it sounds FAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC!

Yeah United Abominations does rock Ive even got my eldest Stepson into Megadeth he loves the new album and System Has Failed and he's only 10 talk about good taste

I think I'm the only person who doesn't like one musical note on this album at all. I think it was a step backwards for them, honestly. Lyrically it's a classic megadeth album, and some of the songs, with better music, could have been on rust in peace due to the lyrical subject matter.

all in all on a scale of one to ten i gave it a 3 because we all know mustaine can write a hell of a lot better than this.

I'm just wondering how everyone thinks this is better than TSHF, i think that album was better than this one and I didn't like half of that album (again, musically), either LOL

After listening to The System Has Failed I still think United Abominations is a bit stronger. I dig every song off of UA....I like the songs on TSHF but I still think the new album is better paced. It sounds heavier to me.
