Oh, that's nasty! I knew someone would reference the unfortunate phonetics of that name at some point though. - ghosts of athanasius wrote:

Yeah, I can appreciate this release somewhat. I really don't care for the combination of Doug's vox with Bruce's riffs though. Just not a good fit, IMO.

| The Woven Hand stuff is more piano based. Less bluesy but still incredible. It has a very unique character. Really grows on you. I would recommend the S/T and/or Consider the Birds | |

| playlist and acquistion is the same
got Priestess at Best Buy for 5.99. This thing is freakin killing me! What a smokin disc!!!! So killer. Nice nod to Sabbath and loads of 70s influence going on there. Fan-freakin-tastic on first listen
The Showdown- Temptation Come My Way lovin it! Great cover of Carry On My Wayward Son. It was only 7.99 at Best Buy. Great 80s metal rock in the vein of Ratt, Dokken, The Crue et al. It has some more intense moments but the SINGING is so refreshing. And well done IMO.
Anberlin- Cities.... Nice! Very refreshing modern rock with lots of hooks and pop sensibities. This guy has a great, unique sounding voice. It was another 7.99 special at Best Buy but I got the 9.99 version as it had 3 more songs and a dvd. They have the whole album streaming at myspace. Really nice album

MERCYFUL FATE - Nuns Have No Fun e.p. MERCYFUL FATE - Melissa DARKTHRONE - Hate Them I'm digging them. I have a friend who really likes them, so I'd heard the album a couple times before I picked it up. It's about as accessible as that genre gets, but it's still some good hard rock with plenty of southern flavor. Mercyful Fate & Darkthrone =
