Well I had this link sent to me today and I thought I would share it with the board.

Star of India is the demo tapes that would end up being Seventh Star. These demos however have Jeff Fenholt on vocals and not Glenn Hughes. Jeff is the one frontman of Sabbath that still gets NO recognition from Iommi and company. They claim he was never officially in the band but hey he was there long enough to make these demos! Enjoy!

Yeah man, I have the boot from Bondage Music of this stuff. It's not bad at all, IMO. Troggish

Anytime I bring the Fenholt/Sabbath issue up, I usually get tons of grief, but if anyone wants to understand it better, read the section on Fenholt in the Sabbath book Never Say Die: 1979-1997. It sheds a lot of light finally on BOTH sides of the story and points with a great deal of clarity to just why this issue has been so widely misunderstood and hotly debated.

Ive got that book and it is a work of brilliance! I need to read the ozzy years book as well. I need to look through it and see if there is a pic of Sabbath with Fenholt in the band...I dont think there is but I know there is one of Dave Denato with the band.

Fenholt's vocals remind me a lot of David Coverdale (who also was approached by Iommi at one point) and his range is superb! However...I cant understand him. His pronunciation is very poor or either the lyrics were VERY shaky when these demos were recorded.

Well a certain VERY kind soul sent me the Star of India demos and I am VERY grateful.

Fenholt is great here IMO. Better than the plastic TBN stuff he did later...

Ironically, ZombieWalkin posted this in the Warpath Board as well, and it got no flack or chaos whatsoever.

Think about that: Warpath Board...a Jeff Fenholt thread...
NO FLAMEWAR! NO CHAOS!

But then, Candlemass hasn't signed up at the new place yet...

I know...it just isn't the same without Trog and Candy there to bicker and post alternating pics of cats on toilets and Candy mowing the lawn.
