Black Sabbath-The original line up again???

In the wake of Dio's recent passing has anyone else given thought to the possibility of Ozzy returning to front Sabbath again?

I know he is occupied for the next 18 months promoting 'Scream' on the world tour. But after that I would love to see him return to his roots and dish up some more epic OLD SCHOOL DOOM metal.

Ozzy/Tony/Geezer/Bill !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think it is about the money or even the fame anymore for Ozzy. Remember, the last Ozzfest was free.

I think it is more about time than anything else. How much more time can he squeeze out of life. These thoughts are probably driven home even more so recently with the passing of a peer (Dio).

I've got to agree with Ozzy. Just personal preference. I don't believe he is being arrogant. I've been to plenty Sabbath shows with Ozzy and Dio. Plenty of Ozzy and Dio solo shows too. These 2 are my favorite voices in metal. But growing up with the original line up changes my perspective.

I hope they get back together for a "real" tour and avoid the usual big festival shows and stuff but I doubt it will happen. Ozzy's voice was burned out when I saw them during the reunion of 99 and its even worse now, have you seen the footage of him miming songs lately, he just can't do it anymore. But they are not getting any younger, Bill Ward's health is dodgy at best too so they better hurry up and do it soon. If it happens I will be one of the first to buy a ticket.

What's up with Bill Ward?

Bill Ward has had health problems for over 20 years, he can still play but he now gets tired very easily due to the medications he has to take.

Would be cool to see again...saw them in 99 and I thought it was fantastic!

I saw them too in 99, the same show that is on the DVD. Great show but the sound wasn't great from where I stood and Bill Ward was horribly behind the beat in some songs but apart from that it was a killer show.

If my rememberer still works, I believe that one of the times I saw them in the Phoenix area (PHX stadium?) was around 1980. Seems it was the 'Black and Blue' tour with Blue Oyster Cult. It was an outdoor venue that got rained out half way through. BONUS: Got a rain check and saw them again few months later. I DO remember Dio (my brother swears it was Ozzy) lifting the mikestand to the sky at the exact moment of lightning in the background. Very, very cool!

^I just remembered that Molly Hatchet (of all bands) was at the outdoor concert too.

I saw Sabbath with Dio in 1980 on the Heaven And Hell tour, it was 3 times louder than the Sabbath reunion show of 99 but the main thing I remember was Dio constantly walking off the stage because of a group of people in the audience holding up a "bring back ozzy" banner. Every time Dio tried to announce a song he was drowned out by these idiots chanting Ozzy Ozzy Ozzy. After 3 songs he didn't talk at all between songs, he would just leave the stage.

I remember thinking, "Who's this new guy (Dio)?"

Later he became my second favorite voice in metal

I just listened to their full set performance recorded on May 19th 2012 in Birmingham.
I don't think anyone will be disappointed with their upcoming tour and new release!!!!
