| I think the four songs sound good. I've heard some people saying it's a return to thrash. I don't hear much in the way of early D, but the songs do sound similar to the later era stuff. I'm a big fan of all eras of D so I am looking forward to this CD. | |

| I like what I hear. I will be picking this up upon release. Nice to see they didnt try to make a "Weapons II" like so many said they wanted to hear.......I think it would have dissapointed and bombed in my opinion. | |

| It's going to be great release. Sort of like some older stuff but some definite newer influences. | |

| I've listened to the new songs a couple times ... I'm having a hard time getting into them. It seems like they've been bit by the Nevermore bug? And I am not a Nevermore fan at all ... | |

| I don't know. I am by no means an expert but does anyone else feel like the drums are off on one of those tracks? It sounds like he is just off beat and racing a little. Like he is not used to playing that fast (or hasn't in a while). Maybe it is just me but on the one track it feels like his tempo keeps changing slightly | |

| Yeah, I noticed that as well. I think it's just a matter of getting the tracking right. | |

| Ive seen people post saying "zzzzzz" and it baffles me because this is some AWESOME new material that everybodys been crying for. It might not be a return to Thrash like Ult said but i can hear the Old Style and the Stay Era in these songs, these songs are heavier than the Stay Era IMO but MAN Its good stuff!!!!! | |

| Jimmy said that they just listened to old Slayer disks the whole time they were writing and recording... Same as they did when recording the early stuff. What cracks me up is that there have actually been 'metal heads' that whined about Jimmy not making the new disk a River Disturbance part II!! He can't win! But he really doesn't care about D at all - this new CD got him and his family into a new house. That's why he was talked into making it. He's in love with his Jupiter 6 stuff and wants to concentrate on doing that as his passion. He is a family man and saw a great opportunity to provide a nicer home for his family. Who wouldn't do the same? Jimmy is 100% about the money in relation to Deliverance and I don't blame him one bit! Plus the thrash stuff is much quicker, easier, and cheaper for Jimmy to throw together than another elaborate disk like River Disturbance (which he said costed nearly 100k to make!) No one here has said anything wrong - but elsewhere there are people who rag on Jimmy and his Deliverance efforts (no matter what he does). Jimmy is a close friend so I get a little defensive! Sorry! Personally... I prefer Learn and River Disturbance to any other D recording! But (as with any artist) Jimmy is at his best when his heart is in it. | |

| I don't know why people complain that the new stuff should be like earlier stuff . . . if you want the old stuff, go listen to a cover band. Build a bridge and get over it. OK, I'll get down from my soapbox now. | |

| I have to be honest.... River Disturbance just never interested me. I actually moved from Rabid fan to passing interest after Stay of Execution. I LOVED Stay but after that, I don't know.... My fav is the s/t. Personally sometimes I get tired of The Big D, and by that I mean Drama. I appreciate that it has been a hard road for Jimmy. I think it is cool that he got into a new house. But I always value sincerity as well. I guess some old fires just won't get re-lit.
Plus I doubt I will buy this record because I would feel like the butt of Jimmy's joke if I did. I don't want to be some chump/sucker | |

| Somby you know me man from our countless chats about the big D, and Ive always said here and other places that Jimmy is a Musical Genuis, I've even said that he's the John Lennon of Christian Music and i still hold to that. Jupiter 6 is some awesome awesome stuff, I just love the fact that Jimmy still makes music because the man is GIFTED! | |
