Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

I've got a 'besy of' album

I have heard of them, for sure, but the only material I've heard is Metallica's cover of "Loverman" on the Garage, Inc. album. I'm sure I'll check 'em out at some point, because I've heard nothing but good things about them.

Nick Cave is a master of songwriting for sure !!

I used to be way into him, he's definitely a talented lyricist..

I like the band he was in before that alot.. THE BIRTHDAY PARTY
which is probably my favorite "punk" band, even though they sound nothing
like "traditional" 70's punk, even though they were around the same time.
But they certainly had the energy and craziness of that era..

Nick Cave has a new "solo" quartet called .. GRINDERMAN, which
is supposed to be somewhat of a throwback to the BIRTHDAY PARTY
sound, craziness. But I think that is wishful thinking on the part of
Nick Cave fans !! haha. I've heard only one song though. I think the
album is supposed to be out this month.

Was actually listening to Murder Ballads today. His writing really is awesome!

I hear he is christian?

I have always heard very good things about Nick Cave, mostly from other musicians...but when I've checked his stuff out, I ended up not "getting it"...I'll keep trying though...I don't want to feel like I'm missing out on anything...
