What brought you here/how did you find us?: I had posted a little bit at CMR and The Cave in the past as criss3o, I am a co-Admin with Addy at Rock Island and I linked over here yesterday from Heart of Metal! My LOVE for Doom and Prog needs a bigger outlet! Godzilla or T. Rex? Godzilla the song & T.Rex the Band!
Milk Chocolate or Dark Chocolate? Dark
Tates great or less filling? I Hate Light Beer! What's the point? Living at the top of the States, I am able to get Canadian Beer at US prices (often cheaper) I prefer Molson Ice, Labbatt 50 Ale and O.V.
Die Happy or Vengeance Rising? VR, but I am not well-versed in DH

Plain or Peanut M-n-M's? Peanut
Lord of the Rings or Star Wars? LOTR
Hair: long or short? I like it Long! In fact, within one circle of friends I am known as Long Hair, however, due to balding I cut my hair and gelled it back and over the "monk spot"! I am slowly growing back what I can now!
Best era of music: 60's, 70's, 80's 90's or 00's? 70's

What brought you here/how did you find us?: Randy and Dan bound and gagged me during my visit to AZ then forced me to listen to 98 degrees outside in Phoenix until the temperature dropped below 98 degrees then they switched it to Nsync to which I suffered through the sounds thereof throughout the night while my balls were nibbled on by coyotes but I couldn't do anything about it because my hands were tied, and once the temperature of the next day reached 98 degress....and on and on and on. And now I currently am taking mega doses of antibiotics for severe scrotal sepsis. thanks guys.

| Great doom list there crux,I got to see Daylight Dies a couple of months ago when they opened for Candlemass and Novembers Doom is a newer favorite as well, also cool list of gothic metal, love those female vocals, was absolutely mesmerized by Drain back in my single days, saw them at Ozzfest,I think it was the first one,saw them again in Dallas years later and got to meet Flavia, she was cool. Are you familiar with Liv Kristine's sisters' band Midnattsol,if you aren't ,you should check them out ,and also Left Hand Solution, female fronted doom, heavy epic melancholy... | |

| Yeah Windsor is great. I think Bob Probert grew up around there too, two great fighters! I'm in Detroit and Windsor quite a bit during the hockey season-pretty cool you used to live there, wouldn't mind doing so myself although in reality if I ever lived in that region it'd probably be stateside in MI.
Sabbsteve, I'll check out the bands you recommened as I haven't heard of some of them. Was Daylight Dies tight live? The thing that I think is great about them is they sound so Scandinavian in their writing even though they're from North Carolina. IMO "No Reply" is a classic doom album.

| Man,they were excellent,I am a big fan of older Paradise Lost and unfortunately I had never heard them before ,but ,when I heard that guitar tone ,they got my attention. After that my feet were chained to the floor and the head began to bang.I have been fortunate enough to have interviewed and seen in concert PL ,and these guys are definitely one of the heirs to the gothic metal throne. If I had any money to spend I would be seeking out more of Daylight Dies.I checked out their lyrics on darklyrics and they are great, melancholy and intelligent ,true poetic material,November's Doom is like that too,the cool thing is neither one of them seems to be into overly questioning God in the lyrics,Nick Holmes of PL is a poet in his own right, and I always really loved his stuff outside of that approach....... | |
