Do you or don't you????

I've heard it said as ATGATT. All the gear, all the time - by some other forums. . . for safety.

So - I'm not sure. Of course, I don't have a bike yet - but I imagine riding to work (which I plan to) I will - since it's about an hour ride.

Around town? Prolly not. At least helmet & maybe gloves. Jacket, depending on the weather.

Squids - that's what the other forums call the folks that ride with a baseball cap, shorts & flip flops. Not sure I'd do that either.

Thoughts? Winky

Helmet is the only thing I wear ALL the time, but you'll never catch me wearing shorts or flip-flops or even sneakers on my bike...it looks stupid.

So, I guess in addition to a helmet (half-shell), I also ALWAYS wear boots, jeans and at least a short sleeve t-shirt. I usually wear gloves too, but summer is coming...

But riding looking like a beach bum on a bike should be outlawed!

I've got Jory talked into wearing a helmet most of the time - even if it's a half shell. . . Jeans & Long sleeve shirt - most likely. There are some really nice jackets - mesh - with "armor" . . . . looking into those. . .

Boots too - yes, that's an automatic. Smile

I'm with Trog.

Helmet (half-shell) all the time.
Jeans, boots and a shirt at the very least.
Usually a leather vest too and leather gloves but it's already getting toasty so those may be shelved for the next few months.

Winter months = tshirt, thermal shirt, leather coat, jeans, leather chaps, glove liners, insulated gloves, boots + 2 pairs of socks, neck gator/face mask, ski cap...

TMI?
