| Is anybody else having problems with emoticons showing up
in messages you compose?
You click on them in the editor and they show up, but when you
preview the message, they don't. It just shows the name of
the emoticon in between colons..
It looks like when some people post an actual message,
they don't show up either?! Just the name of the emoticon..
I was trying to compose a cool Birthday message for the Trogster,
and sometimes the emoticons would show in the preview, while
others didn't. Then when I would start over, the ones that did
show up before, wouldn't the next time?!
Am I in the Twilight Zone or something?! | |

| Yeah, I'm having the same trouble. I have no idea why. I have to assume that it's a bug in the software, because there are no controls that I can find to change it.  If you try multiple times though, sometimes they eventually show up. Question is, can you be obsessive and patient enough to do it? Who's gonna give up first - you or the bug?

| ok, so now I tried to type a message using bold, italics,
and color codes only and when I went to preview it, is
was displaying all the bracket codes making the message
look atrocious! uh, that kinda sucks. Not to mention,
I gotta a pm from Trog where this occured as well.
What really is baffeling is it seems so random. sometimes
it works, other times it goes off the deep end and gives you
the bird and laughs.. haha
Does niceboard.com have perhaps a support forum or perhaps a support email address to ask them what's up?? | |

| If you're having trouble with the emo-cons not posting (as I have been this morning) try hotlinking to them from the list at the left of your posting box and post them as an image. That might be a way to rig it when you have trouble and make it work for now until I can figure out what's wrong.
@Judah: Yeah man, there is a support forum, but I haven't had a chance to get over there yet. Hang in there! | |
