anyone like old Green Day? (*he asked tentatively ...*)

I noticed that one of our new members listed this band under their favs. Personally, I really think both Dookie and Nimrod are pretty good CD's! Especially Dookie, because it's named after what Troggy named me for what I'm named after.

(and some other reasons, of course)

Anyways, this band always takes me back to my youth, because when I was
a kid I LOVED Green Day's older material. Anyone else think they're
decent?

That's me and I was specifically thinking of their first two. I haven't kept up with them since then. Whether one likes them or not they are great song writers. Good, catchy tunes which is the point.

I think people might feel like they're "coming out of the closet" to admit this!

I liked that song about "when masturbation's lost it's fun, you're f*ckin' lazy" back when it first came out and got some airplay. Pretty good riffing there.

I liked the early material before they started taking themselves too seriously. The last album just annoyed the hell out of me.

I'm glad the hell is out of you now though

That song Wake Me Up When September ends annoyed me I had actually written a parody to that song called

"Wake me up when My shift at Walmart Ends" heh
