| Anyone know of this band. They are being billed as doom and Ozzy-like...
I am skeptical. Robert Sweet of Stryper drums! How Ozzy can that be?????
Anyone have it? Any good? Is it Sabbathy or Ozzy like?

| I picked this up a few weeks ago, and I dig it!
I'm pretty picky about metal (especially Christian metal, which often seems sub par to secular), but I dig everything Bill Menchen's put out.
This falls right in line with Rev7 classics like "The Unveiling." I think the best secular comparison would be Ozzy's stuff with Jake E. Lee. Doomy? No. Classic metal with Ozzy-esque vocals? Yup. Good stuff! |

| I've been kinda riding the fence on this band. I haven't bought the album yet cuz' I'm afraid I would get bored with the vocals. You can check out 2min clips of all the track at CDbaby. http://cdbaby.com/cd/seventhpower | |

| Isn't this Bill Menchen's (of REV 7) latest project? | |

Except I don't know Bill Menchen. REV 7 is that good or bad?

Yup! Rev7 is good... pretty much a clone of Ozzy's 80's stuff (Bark At The Moon era). The production on Rev7 stuff wasn't that great, though.... but the production on 7th Power is! |

Hey ghosts, have you heard DBEALITY? That's David Benson's (aka the ultimate Ozzy-clone) latest project, and Robert played drums on that too. Check it out: http://www.myspace.com/dbeality1

Which is kind of a weird coincidence... |

| D'oh yes I forgot Robert Sweet drumed on DB
it is still weird though. Weird to me. I have always associated the Sweet bros as being the wuss out factors that kept Stryper from being outrageously cool and heavy
Maybe I am wrong..
Have we invited David Benson to come out and play? He could illumine my ignorance...

| For those of you who are interested, the first two Rev Seven albums are being remastered and released by Retroactive Records on one CD. I can hardly wait! Bill's vocals were best on those two projects "Hell & Back" and "The Unveiling". |

| OK, I've given the CD one spin so far. I really like Bill's sound and his melodies, and his songs are kinda catchy. Overall though, it feels like something is "missing". I'm not sure what. It's definitely an enjoyable listen, and it may grow on me more as I play it more, but that's my first impression. | |
