| How did you come up or get your current screenname?
Mine is short for Adchyrch, originally the first person to call me "Addy" was Jimmy Brown of Jupiter 6/Deliverance fame, guess it was easier than Adchyrch, So since then it kinda stuck, so when the Cave moved here, I figured Id change it to something new, so hence Addy was reborn heh

| TrogDawn is a shortened version of my band's name, TROGLODYTE DAWN. The short version of what that name means is "Out of the darkness, into the light". To read the LONG version of how I arrived at the name, click on the link below and scroll down to "Why this name?": http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pageartist.cfm?bandID=86356 | |

| I've actually answered this before on another board, so I dug up my old response. Here it is... I first started coming to the boards looking for people who listened to Christian rock/metal music. I wanted a name that reflected that such as "JesusRocker" or "Rock4theRock" unfortunately every name I tried was taken. In frustration I just tried my name and last initial GaryS, but that was taken too. Finally I resorted to an old nickname I was given in the Army "Staybrite" Staybrite is the brand name of a company that makes shiny brass and chrome medallions and insignia used on military uniforms. They stay bright and shiny all the time and never require polishing. During my stint in the Army one of the Sergeants in my platoon thought I was a "polished" soldier so he nicknamed me "Staybrite". It is also easy to remember. Kinda dumb, but I got really tired of trying to come up with a clever name that wasn't already taken. | |

| That's not dumb AT ALL, bro! I think that's really cool and WAY better than the other ones you mentioned you tried before. I'm glad they were taken! Plus, "Staybrite" has a pretty obvious Christian connotation: "Let your light so shine before men" maybe? As soon as I rename and add new emo-cons, is gonna be YOUR personal one, dood! | |

| If you all think long enough, I'm sure you can guess where mine is from. Sounded cool to make up 5 years ago...now its so cliche. P.S. if you can't guess it...Tourniquet's 3rd album... | |

| Maybe it's a little cliche now, but it has really become who you are online - to me anyway. It has transcended it's original purpose as the name of an album! | |

| Well it is a long and involved story... Here are the cliff notes
I was deeply impacted by the writings of Chruch Father Athanasius, particularly ON THE INCARNATION. He just made a ton of sense and was able to reduce huge concepts into common sense manageable forms. There is one section when he describes what happens when a canvas gets stained or ruined. There is no repairing it, instead the painter stretches out a new canvas and starts over. This is what Christ does with us when we ruin our lives. It deeply resonated in me. At the time I read that I was going through alot of changes (no not menopause or puberty) and I was feeling like I ruined all God gave me. I also like how Athanasius insisted we live the gospel rather than yack about it. Plus he had balls. Athanasius Contra Mundum (literally Athanasius aganist the world) is how he was described because he stood up for and defended truth.
I can in no way fill those big shoes but I lamented that his kind of faith and spirit are rare in the world today. I wanted there to linger ghosts of athanasius. Of course I fail miserably but after weeks of voyeurism on the Once Dead ez forum, I joined in and GOA sounded better than vengeanceroxdude

Aw shucks...thank you. I agree, like it or not...I'm kinda branded with it. It would be very confusing if I changed names anyhow. :cyclops:

| One day while riding my bike in Alaska a brown bear appraoched me and asked me for a light. Not for a cigarette mind you but a light so he could see under the hood of his Ford Pinto and refill his washer fluid. After providing the light he then asked me what I was doing in Alaska and why I was riding my bike in the dead of winter. I explained why and he promptly turned to me and said "why you're a transient soul". He then laughed and skipped off into the woods to poop. |

| ahhhh poop.......still funny after all these years. Zombiewalkin is a derivative of my old ezboard screename which was Coffindan. People would call me "deadman" all the time. Sooooo when I decided to delete my coffin account for reasons I wont bore you with, I decided to stick with the whole "dead" thing so Zombiewalkin was born. It is also a song title by the band The Cryptkickers. I like horror films and zombies have always been a mainstay for me so......there ya go. Now I was gonna change it after rededicating my life to Christ but I still thought the name fit in a way. This flesh is always gonna be "dead" in my opinion. We are alive in Christ in our hearts and souls but our flawed rotting flesh will always cause us to sin in one way or another. | |

That's not true! You told me it was The Pope who said that to you! - zombiewalkin wrote:

Thanks for turning us on, deadman! (obscure beatles reference) Have you ever heard the song "Some Kinda Zombie" by AUDIO ADRENALINE? I think you might like it in light of what you just said.

| I have a half-sleeve tattoo on my right arm. It's designed to make my upper arm look like a cathedral. In the large stained glass windows there are flames, hence my screen name. The meaning behind the tattoo itself is that the Spirit of God dwells within me, hence my body being a temple (or in more modern/western terms a cathedral) for Him to dwell within. | |
