I haven't listened to this guy in a while ... probably 6+ months or so,
but I've been jamming him tonight and thought I'd make an appreciation
thread! Who's with me?

Favorite albums? Songs? Licks? Live performances? Et cetera, as they say ...

He's got such passionate and authoritative playing. Hendrixy in many ways. And I LOVE this guy's vibrato!

I've always loved him, but never owned much by him. All I have at the moment is the posthumous The Sky is Crying - which is awesome! But I'll be picking up one of the GH comps at some point, I'm sure.

I saw SRV a month before he died in that helicopter crash he was awesome when I saw him, Jeff Beck opened for him!
