| Rob from Bombworks Records posted this over at CMR..
Ladies and Gentlemen, we have it in our hands, the new album from My Silent Wake. To say that it upstages Shadow of Sorrow would be to understate the fact. Shadow is incredible but, MSW have outdone themselves this time around. This album is MASSIVE. It is a two disc set featuring a metal disc (disc one) that crushes! The sound is huge! HUGE!
The second disc is an acoustic disc featuring tons of instruments and will remind you of Dead Can Dance and the like. Disc two is beautiful and powerful. Amazing!
The total package clocks in at over an hour and a half. This is the biggest project that Bombworks Records has taken on thus far and we think that you will all be blown away!
Our goal is to have this out by the Elements of Rock festival which will be tough. We are doing our very best to have it available at the fest.

| I recieved word from Bombworks that my pre order was sent out this last Saturday. Now the wait begins... The only thing that dampens my enthusiasm is the slow postal service up here in Canada. I partook in the last Bombworks pre order with the Dagon & Lo Ruhamah discs, and they arrived a grand total of 24 days after the postmark said they were sent. That puts the MSW in my hands the week of May 5th. Hopefully, this will arrive a little quicker than that... | |

| To clear any confusion, my notification came through a return e-mail in which I was inquiring about my initial pre order with them. I was basically told that that order had indeed been sent and it was in the post offices hands, and that my, and everyone elses MSW orders that were in to them by the 13th were sent. You will more than likely have it by the end of this week, I on the other hand...sigh. | |

| Ahhh I haven't heard the new disc yet so I am not certain
On the debut it is a healthy mix of both. On Century Sleeper there is very little growling

Ha ha, indeed! I sing mostly growls with MSW, but due to the nature of the new album having a lot of acoustic songs, I reckon it's half and half at least, if not slightly more clean. In CS it is mainly clean as mentioned. TOW is a band I play in but is not my project, it is the project of Alan Southorn, who also plays in MSW. I play guitar in this band and have done a few vocals, but this is mainly Alan's job.

| Yeah, I've always maintained that MSW vox are pretty much half and half in the growl/clean mix. Ian is actually singlehandedly responsible for causing me to acquire a taste for growly death-type vox! Prior to hearing MSW, I despised that vocal style. But Ian does it so well (read my lips: a-nun-ci-ate!), that he has made a believer outta me! | |

Cheers matey! I also hate some death vocals. I think that growling can be brilliant but sometimes it is just a monotone grating noise. I think it is like normal vocals, in that there is a huge range of sounds you can make and some vocalists suit your taste and others just don't.

| Yes, exactly. I like to be able to hear something semi-intelligible or else I'm not really interested. Unless the words are purposely just "phonetic arrangements" and not actual words that is. But death vox as phonetic arrangements would still probably not be my cup of meat either... | |
