| Just wanted to say, I haven't listened to this band in probably 3-4 months, and this morning they are hitting the spot like no other band could. With a 10+ year existence and only two albums to speak of, this band is quality over quantity; both their albums are completely awesome IMO.   Anyone else like these guys? | |

| I've never heard them. Partially because I'm not a fan of Anselmo, partially because I didn't care for what I perceived the subject matter to be about, partially because I just never got around to it. I think I'd be willing to give them a listen now though.  | |

That's what I'm sayin man 8) Troggy ... though your tastes are your tastes, I can't see you disliking the NOLA album. It's bluesy 'southernfried' heavy metal that's full of groove. I personally like this band better than any other Anselmo band, and better than all the other members' main bands. It's not quite as obnoxious as the typical nawlinz sound, opting for a more soulful approach. Great riffs, concise soloing, and not quite as much 'screaming' as we're used to hearing from Phil. Really, I'd say Down is definetely worth checking out. Let me know what you think when you hear it! | |
