That's right..I ordered Nightfall just yesterday, and the record store alrady called me and said it's in. Tomorrow's payday, and it's mine then.
Oh, and this was the song I discovered that made me want to buy this...

That's a good place to start. I'm not a huge Candlemass fan but I definitely dig that album and Epicus Doomicus Metalicus.

For the total Candlemass experience I would recommend getting Epicus next, then King of the Grey Islands, three different vocalists and three different epic journeys. Then start working on the essential Marcolin back catalog,Ancient Dreams and Tales of Creation. All these are the best IMHO musically, vocally, and lyrically.

I agree with the above, but I'd also add the self-titled reunion album from 2005...it's actually one of my favorites with Marcolin.

The music,as always is great,as is Marcolins voice, but as a once aspiring vocalist and lyrics guy,I just wasn't too into the lyrics of it,sounded kind of stoner to me,my opinion of course, but that is what I expect when I spin Orange Goblin, not the epic sound of Candlemass.Besides the spiritual aspect of it,I wanted to sing for Last Chapter because Darrin wrote some great epic stories of apocalpyse, internal conflict and belief vs non-belief that were poetic.Leif really got it right again on KOTGI,some great tales on that one, especially "Stars and Smoke",that is a modern vintage style CM song,IMHO.

I would agree they are overrated but still like them a lot but i think they are much better now with Lowe than they ever were with Marcolin. I do think though that Leif Edling's solo album is better than any Candlemass album, check it out if you haven't heard it.
