| So there I am, back online after a full month of damn well-deserved vacations (will post pictures of some places for some who want, or just check my Myspace : http://www.myspace.com/thetroocyaegha, but it'll take a bit of time, I'm busy)... ...only to learn that my job is closing, that I'll be economically fired by the end of the month and so on...Note that considering what my bosses are, in term of work, I was expecting some backstabbing this way... Bah, I still have my wife and friends' support, and I got the will to continue on, so I'm not stressed about that. Apart that, good records bought, good records received, good times taken and I work (not paid, but lots of free stuff) for a big french Metal magazine named Metallian ( http://www.metallian.net) as the Doom And Affiliated specialist : who knows, could end in a paid job soon? On a sidenote (because I think that most of you are protestants, but maybe there's some catholics around here), I'll be in the Holy city of Lourdes in 2 weeks to see Pope Benedict XVI : a good occasion to add more thoughts in my prayers for some of you | |

| Sorry to hear about your job. I recently went from being a "full-time" employee with my company to "permanent-part time". The translation for that is that it was their way of being able to cut my hours and get rid of my insurance and vacation/sick time benefits. But at least I still have a gig (even though I'm barely scraping by). Here's hoping that things swing around for both us again soon. | |

| Thanks for the words, guys : support is always damn appreciated in dire times like this ... but I must say, I'm not in what one could call a 'dire situation', there are people with more need of help and support than me. I take it well, mostly because I know my boss is an asshole and what he want to do : push me to get out all by myself, so he won't have to pay for firing me (french legislation). Right there, he 'move' me to another part of the country for work : if I refuse, I'm fired without indemnities, and if I accept, he can do that as long as he want (or pay for) until I break. I don't intend to break until I get something sure right after so I can send him get screwed all the way down. Right now, he's spending more money to be sure I quit than what it would cost him if he was firing me, so I wait (yeah, call me a bastard but I was the first one being fucked). No hate or what against him, mind you. And no problem forgiving him. That said, that don't mean I'll forget^^ Ah yeah, it's Pappa in US english? I always mistake Yeah, it seems it'll be an experience...if my boss doesn't manage to find a way to keep me so I couldn't do the trip (even if I live not far from Lourdes). | |

| He is, but at least he pay my hostel bill *lol* Got my letter for my firing appointement on next Wednesday : now all I got to do is to negociate WISELY the money he'll own me...and start searching for something else. I'm good in my job, it shouldn't be too hard. Thanks for the prayers anyway, always appreciated PS : the new Funeral and Memory Garden albums rocks, so does Ereb Altor (an Viking/Doom side-project from Daniel, Isole's singer) : check those | |

| Oh, dammit all bosses, I say!!! I'm in the completely kafkaian situation where I don't work, I'm paid for it and I can't search for another job until I'm officially fired...and it definitively sucks!!! Well, at least, I've finished every inties for the magazine (I have the hobby of working for a big french Metal mag : I'm not paid, but I got 61 free CDs in 2 months^^). Question to the Cavemen : I've done an intie of Memory Garden in english for the current issue (released by the end of the month), which I was forced to cut a lot in translating it so it could be 1400 words (it was around 1000 more, I think). I would like to have the full english one 'stored' somewhere else, and so would like to know if the site would be interested in getting it posted around here. Let me know if there's something special (a special post, uploading it, I dunno) to do, and more importantly if you are interested in reading it | |

| Back again to start anew among the troglodytes here. Sorry for me being away for some times long, but looking for a new job means I don't have much time on my hands for the Net. | |

| Yeah, not a ton of activity here lately it seems... I haven't been stopping by as much as I usually do, in part because activity has been pretty low here in the deep, dark cave. We gotta get more DOOM talk going! | |

| Yeah,I wish there was too,I have tried a couple of other boards, some have too much drama and some just don't seem to have much of a sense of humor.Life is too short for that shit,it is a shame,IMO we have access to some of the greatest music on the planet and people spend their time causing problems and talking about what "sucks".The art of music and the musicians that play it are a great thing ,and I intend to enjoy it and promote it........ | |
