| Listening to Roots and man there's a lot of noise which is right up my alley. I love this band and even like the new stuff with Dante being in the top three faves of them. Maybe not for this board but the guys are amazing. | |

| I have only heard the Max albums. They have all stood the test of time, IMO except Morbid Visions. But it sounded dated in 1987.
Great band. Maybe one day I'll delve a bit deeper into their catalogue.

| Beneath The Remains and Schizophrenia are my favs. I had Morbid Visions and kinda liked it when it first came out. When I heard Beneath the Remains I was blown away and was so impressed how much they had grown musically.
Arise was pretty good but didnt hold my interest like the other two.

| If you like early Sep, pick up Cavalera Conspiracy. Very reminiscent with about twice as many f**ks. | |

| You should check out the Dante album as they finally got comfortable with Green as the singer and the storyline is cool. | |

| It's based around Dante's book which I find pretty cool. | |

| Not to mention Dante is the most cliche'd concept album idea they could possibly have thought of ...
BTW, I love early Sepultura ... I actually listened to Beneath the Remains a few days ago. I also like Morbid Visions, Schizophrenia, and Arise. All of the others have not caught my ear, though I'm told the stuff immediately after that era was just as good and I've been planning to check it out when I can.

| BTR, Arise, and Chaos AD are where it's at with this band, for me.
I absolutely REFUSE to knock Derrick Green, though, as those were some HUGE shoes to fill in the vocals/lyrics department, and it still didn't do anything about the songwriting and vision that left with Max. Takes a MAN to step up to that job and keep plugging away at it......
