I'm assuming its s/t? I've got that white promo copy you sent me for being awesome... and working out an anagram... something to do with tits i think it turned out to be :p

Anyway, I'm really getting into it. I first listened to it while in hospital and it took me four tries to get through to whole thing without falling asleep, although that was the depression more than the music.

The whole album is one big highlight, but the parts that stuck out are Fallen Word, and Lust and then the Black Sabbath riff (was that a direct rip of, or an adaptation? i keep thinking i recognise it from somewhere) and the didgeredoo song. I was actually thinking a few days before I got the album that I'd never heard any metal which incorporated indigenous Australian instruments. I might have to do more of that myself one day... redefine Aussie metal :p

Keep up the good work Troggy

Thanks Iggy. Yeah, it's s/t, although I've toyed with the idea of re-naming it or having an unspoken alternate title of "The Cave" (the official version has Plato's cave allegory in the liner notes). I will send you a proper copy of the debut soon - with color inserts and all. Troggish

The Sabbath song is a parody. The music is the same, but the title and lyrics are different. I couldn't get permission to record it the original way with only minor changes, so I did it with completely different lyrics. SHARON!

Yeah, I love didgeridoo. For another sampling, check out the song "Oracle" by SHEAVY. They did a good job with that in 1998 (although my use of it actually came first, as I recorded it between 1995 and 1997. Big grin)

I didn't know that's why you changed the lyrics!

Concerning digeridoo -- my roomate last year had about a 4 ft long digeridoo ... and he was about a 5 foot person ... very amusing watching him play it, but he was killer at it.

He also did us the lovely service of finding the most acoustically crushing spot in the entire apartment (the bathtub) and playing digeridoo daily from there. Used to wake up the entire apartment complex, I think.

Yep, that was the impetus. I still remember the day I got the letter back from TRO/Essex saying I couldn't proceed as planned. I was crushed. But, I found an alternative that allowed for at least an original approach to a Sab cover, IMO. Big Smile

Nice! WAY UP! I haven't picked mine up in years...

That kind of stinks that they didn't let you do that. But it at least allows you to continue to express your own vision through a truly classic song. BTW, I was always under the impression that people just did covers. I didn't know you had to get approval, as long as you included in your credits that you didn't write the song.

Aboud the dig ... what's yours like? My roomate's was a gift from his parents who traveled to Australia last summer. It's totally authentic, and it's HUGE. It was really cool to get to try it out whenever I wanted also. But I was no good at it Winky
