Geez! You gotta lay off that stuff! 🤢

I think I have one of their albums somewhere on cdr, but I've never listened to it. What are they like? Is the subject matter as depressing as the name? Huh?

Quote :
a·nath·e·ma [uh-nath-uh-muh]–noun, plural -mas.

1. a person or thing detested or loathed: That subject is anathema to him.

2. a person or thing accursed or consigned to damnation or destruction.

3. a formal ecclesiastical curse involving excommunication.

4. any imprecation of divine punishment.

5. a curse; execration.

[Origin: 1520–30; < L < Gk: a thing accursed, devoted to evil, orig. devoted, equiv. to ana(ti)thé(nai) to set up + -ma n. suffix]

Pretty much #1 and #2.
Very depressing, but it can also be quite cathartic.
Sometimes you just need to cry, you know?
The vocalist blows me away.
Great keys.
Music has to reach my heart and/or soul for me to appreciate it the way I see music, and this does.
I should curse the individual who introduced me to them. 🇳🇴

And when I listen to my iTunes...well, the band begins with an 'A'. So, it's downhill from there. Razz

Particularly 'Anyone, Anywhere' at the moment.

Hey....I'm a doomster, you know. Winky

Yeah, thanks for turning me onto them. For some reason, I never got
around to listening to them back in the day. So they have been a real
treasure to discover. Those records are some of my favorite
"christian" rock of all time. I scored them on vinyl awhile back as well! Smile
