New thread for a new year! GEEN!

GIRLSCHOOL - The Collection

These ladies rock harder than the entire hair metal movement combined! Any band of females who can hold their own on tour with MOTORHEAD is OK in my book! Ed-banger!

A Doom-Metal and an R.I.P. to their lead guitarist/vocalist Kelly Johnson, who we lost in 2007 to cancer. Doom cloud

Glad to hear they're still out there! Doom-Metal

It also looks like three of the four original members are back in the band! Yay!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Girlschool

I'm sure if Kelly was still with us that she would be out there too. Sad

OOOOOH, I gotta check out that Raven. A band that's been on my radar for a while now but hasn't entered the collection yet.

My playlist:

URIAH HEEP - Demons and Wizards
URIAH HEEP - The Magician's Birthday
MARILYN MANSON - Portrait of an American Family
MARILYN MANSON - Mechanical Animals

For some reason, Uriah Heep has become my 'withdrawal' music. It's so
soothing and positive (to me) and really helps me keep a positive
attitude.

I can't get "In the Air Tonight" out of my head - I keep playing the song over and over!

That's a cool collection. My fave cuts on it are "Easy Lover", "You Can't Hurry Love" and "Dance Into the Light". cool beans!

IMO, there were a few missing tracks on it though, so I made a neat little companion to go with it including these cuts:

I Don't Care Anymore (one of my fave tracks of his)
I Missed Again
Tomorrow Never Knows
Strangers Like Me (the guitar version of this song rocks!)
You'll Be in My Heart
Sussudio
Billy Don't Lose My Number

I'm not sure why some of these were omitted, particularly the first and the last two tracks, but as usual, no one consulted with me before compiling this collection. Rolling Eyes

Playlist so far: Listening

ANGEL - White Hot
ANGEL - Sinful

Great song! I personally like his first solo album the best. It's a GREAT CD to have on with those intimate evenings with the wife. 8)

POWERGOD - Long Live the Loud
KILLER DWARFS - Stand Tall
HYADES - And the Worst Is Yet to Come
