I've never really heard these guys, since I basically checked out musically for most of the 90's. My good friend Trannie recently gave me a copy of The Colour and the Shape however, so I'll post my thoughts when I get a chance to listen to it. Listening

Love the new one. Huge fan. Dave Grohl is amazing, he has surrounded himself with a very solid band.

Trog If you like the Color and the Shape you should get the S/T Disk? IMO The first 2 are the best, Dave Grohl wrote and played the entire S/T album himself

I think Grohl is amazing and as time has gone on It makes me wonder had he contributed more to the writing in Nirvana if it would have been differant cuz Grohl IMO is a much better musican and writer than Cobain ever was. Not to turn this into a Foos vs Nirvana thread as thats not my intention, I agree the band is very solid Ive turned also into a Taylor Hawkins fan as he can sing too and has a side band of his own, as does Schiflit too I think

Over the years Ive tried to get as much Grohl written music as I can... the soundtrack to the movie Touch was written by Grohl

his song for the Orange County soundtrack rips and I love that they make consistently great videos..

I personally like Nothing Left To Lose the most of all the the albums but I like em all.. I just wish they would continue to bust out more rockers. I love the stuff but his agitated scream and rockin out rules
