One of my favorite punk bands of all time. This band featured Lee Ving on vocals (yes, the same guy who sang on the original release of MD45 with Dave Mustaine).

If Glenn Hughes is the "Voice of Rock" and Rob Halford is the "Voice of Metal" then Lee Ving is definitely the "Voice of Punk" in my opinion!

They had two main albums in their heyday in the 80's and a few later releases which I still need to check out. The two main ones were The Record and More Beer:

Fave tracks:

Let's Have a War
Beef Bologna
I Don't Care About You
New York's Alright if You Like Saxophones
Foreign Policy
I Love Livin' in the City
Disconnected
We Gotta Get Out of This Place (killer Animals cover!)
Fresh Flesh
No More Nothing
The Mouth Don't Stop (The Trouble with Women is)
Responsibility
More Beer (D.T. Seizure even covered this one!)
Hey
I Am a Doctor
Have a Beer with FEAR
Welcome to the Dust Ward
Null Detector
Waiting for the Meat

Awesome (even technical, in places) PUNK with GUTS!

I've been diggin' these guys all day today!

Here are some links to some great footage:

(FEAR live at the Fleetwood from the movie The Decline of Western Civilization 1981)

(Lee Ving in the movie Get Crazy with Malcolm McDowell. Check out the stage dive Lee does into the audience near the beginning! It's WAY too cool and I've loved this guy ever since!)

(FEAR live on SNL. Apparently, John Belushi set it up so they could play, but the crowd was so nuts that Lorne Michaels would never have them back!)
