PostSubject: Barnabas - Breathless Wonderment   Fri Jan 19, 2007 9:34 am

So I letting winamp play through my mp3 folder on the pc and it comes to this song by Barnabas. This song is off the Feel The Fire album from 1984. I did some searching and found the lyrics which are just incredibly AWESOME!

Breathless Wonderment

Hidden from the mystics whose writings had foretold
With shattering simplicity, the mystery unfolds
A small bouquet of cells becomes a living child
Fathered by the great I AM, a mother; gentle, mild

Nurtured in the shadow of the iron Roman fist
Shunning the dementia no human can resist
Reports of earthly wonders stir the troubled universe
The second Adam suffers to restore the fallen first

Hosanna Hosanna
Breathless wonderment
The perfect sacrament

From the dreadful crags of Zion, and the lowly Bethlehem
The mighty heart of God is pierced as nail pierces hand
The Spirit broods in silence as He did when time was young
The Father turns away from His beloved, tortured Son

Stumbling, with my face toward the twisting, sobbing sky
The dream is reality, through tear-streaked spirit eyes
The wickedness I cherish bruised the One I claim to serve
The horrendous crucifixion, I most richly deserved

I need to find some of their stuff!

Great band,an old friend sent me an MP3 of Auschwitz a while back, one of the few old C -rock albums I don't have on cd,if anyone has files or a link and can help please message me,really miss that one,you can debate its content, but the music still stands as one of the best of the genre, absolutely dug Nancy Jo's vocals.

I will probably stand alone when I say that I like the lyrics more than the drawn out song.
