N.I.N. is getting ready to release a new cd called
Year Zero..

They are touring right now and they had a encoded
message on the back of their tour shirt that lead
to a website, which leads you down a rabbit hole of
other websites to give you the story line of the record.
It's a concept record.

It's a pretty brilliant idea. The websites have encoded
messages, sound files of characters from the story,
secret links embedded in some websites that lead you
to others, etc.

At the top of story are some of the links to the websites. It's pretty cool
just checking out the sites and getting a sense for the story..

Just recently, It seems N.I.N. planted or leaked a USB flash drive in
a mens bathroom at a concert with an mp3 from the new album.

If you scroll down in the comments, you'll find various links to the mp3.

This has to be one of the coolest promotions for an album ever..

I haven't listened to NIN since The Downward Spiral, but all this
has gotten me interested in the actual album.

The story has a kinda post-apocalyptic end times theme..

Check out the first link above and check out the websites and let
me know what you think..

The only NIN music I have is the bonus all-ambient disc he did with one of the albums.

I've never really been all that much into "industrial" or his sound, myself... I dunno
