| Anyone like them? I just picked up 'In the Rectory of the Bizarre Reverend' (the 2-disc) a few days ago and it's really killer. I haven't read through the lyrics yet so I can't comment on that aspect, but musically it's an awesome epic stoner doom album. It sounds to me like a mix of early Candlemass with Pentagram-esque sluggishness. A strongly doped-up atmosphere to it. The sound pure doom ... no effects, no syphonies, nothing here that isn't DOOOOOMMMM!!!
anyone else care to comment?

| I had that one for awhile. It sounded pretty good, but I sold it off before it really had a chance to get under my skin. | |

| Reverend Bizarre - You never go wrong with them. But, however, i think they've just gone too much into their style, so there is nothing innovative in their later albums. But I don't complain, it's good to hear similar RB sound after all. And IMO, In the Rectory... is their best. For a complete satisfaction, i suggest you to buy their latest album 'So Long, Suckers'. | |

| Haven't heard any of the albums other than In the Rectory and Harbinger. I love the Burzum cover on Harbinger, by the way! I'm planning on getting the rest eventually, but yeah, so far In the Rectory is best IMO.
Thanks for the reccomendation! GREAT new doom band. I am really loving this band's sound.

| I love this band, specially the first "In the rectory" Cd. And the edition with bonus disc with unreleased/rare songs is absolutely FANTASTIC! But the lyrics are not for me. | |

| Their last release "so long suckers!" is a grand deep moving testament: the are now part of the pantheon of the gods of doom; and what is fantastic is that they achieve that while there were still active; they are an everlasting milestone in the rock history!! trust the blind worshipper!!! | |
