| LOVE this band!! I know a lot of the Prog crowd have become huge uber-geek fanboys over this band in the last few years, but in all honesty there is good reason. I latched on to PT back in the mid-90s with the album 'Signify' & have been hooked ever since. Their body of work is staggering...from heavy, dark moments to spacey, ambient passages all over dozens of releases (studio albums, live albums, EP's, rarities collections)...influenced by everything from King Crimson quirk & Pink Floyd atmosphere to the heaviest Opeth moments (Steve Wilson, PT's brainchild, has produced releases for Opeth)...this is a band worth checking out, if you're not already a fan... http://www.porcupinetree.com/ You can stream their "Fear Of A Blank Planet" album on their site... | |

| Cool! I've actually been listening alot to Tarquin's Seaweed Farm the last few days... (Inbetween all the Paul Chain & Cathedral of course... ) I had to check them out after I skipped their concert in Norway together with Anathema late last year. In retrospect - dreadfully silly of me that was, if I may say so myself... ...Give me... power to destroy! Give me... radioactive toy! | |

Oh yeah... me too! But part of me was a little scared to ruin the memory of the last time I saw Anathema (Bergen, 2005) which was the finest show I've ever attended, and this time they were only a warm-up band... But on the matters of PT - do you have any recommendations? I've only listened to the Tarquin's Seaweed which I absolutely adore and a little bit of the new one Fear of a blank planet, which I'm still a little undecided on. And looking at their discography there is a *lot* of releases in between... | |

| One band I have tried to get into. I'm a huge Fates Warning fan and love other prog-metal but for some reason PT and I never connect. | |
