American Hardcore

So.. who has seen this?! I got to see it on the big silver screen a couple
of weeks back and it RULED !!!! I was so stoked that I actually got to see
it at a movie theater (HUZZAH!), and one that sells BEER! (double HUZZAH!) Laughing

Highlights were Keith Morris, H.R. from Bad Brains, GREG GINN (!!!) and
Mike Watt all telling stories about the good ole days..

If you like any of those bands, you owe it to yourself to check it out.
It's done really well..

how could they lump GWAR in there as a hardcore band? GWAR is the farthest thing from the hardcore scene.

Well, their first lp Helll-o was pretty hardcore/punk influenced and then they

started playing more metal/thrash with later records..

I will give them serious D.I.Y. points for making all their costumes and props and

touring around in a big school bus!

weird that GWAR was considered hardcore punk influenced and they completely overlooked the pioneers of hardcore/punk metal Impaler who's albums have all been hardcore/punk influenced since 1983.

I'm in Minnesota, I have known their current drummer since before he joined Impaler....really cool guy by the name of Tom Croxton, if ever you get a chance to meet these guys you'll know why I speak so highly of them, the all around great dudes.

This is one amazing movie! I just saw it last night. Definitely worth the view! THe bonus materials are excellent and the live footage is amazing

Also on the GWAR thing...
The guy is talking as a fan of the scene who was there. GWAR is not lumped in the movie at all.

The cameos from Corrosion guys and Wino were nice surprises too!
