| List a song that gave you the willies the first time you heard it - only one at a time please... "Black Sabbath" by BLACK SABBATHThis is probably the grand-daddy of them all. I won't say that it "scared" me the first time I heard it as much as it intrigued me to the point of shock at what a uniquely heavy/creepy sound/vibe it had. It didn't cause me fear, but it certainly changed my musical life! Now that I'm older and know a little bit about music theory, I know it's the tritone in the main riff that gives it that underlying scary sound, but the entire presentation builds on that foundation in an amazing way! |

Care to elaborate?
Number two for me is definitely "D.O.A." by BLOODROCK
The lyrics are sung from first person perspective by someone who is describing his own death after flying in a plane that had a sudden, in-air collision. Not totally graphic, but enough to be totally creepy, and the slow, dissonant music underneath definitely makes the skin crawl! |

| Strange Fruit by Billie Holiday. That song is INTENSE (it's about the lynchings in the south). |

| Pray For The Dead/The Wish by Trouble Human Sacrifice- Vengeance mainly just because when I heard it, it was soooo different from anything else I had heard at the time. But in both cases I QUICKLY grew to love them |

| Do you mean these songs actually kinda SCARED you first time you heard them? Like they were SO right on that it freaked you out? I was mainly talking about songs that kinda give you the creeps, but I guess I can see where you're coming from with this too... Usually, when a song is SO appropo to my life it kinda comforts me..."Faithless Heart" by Amy Grant did that for me way back when, among MANY others I can't recall at this moment... |

| When I was a kid, my step-uncle would scare the hell out of me with his black light posters and blaring "God Of Thunder" by KISS in his room... _________________ "Don't forget to pray for me..."

| Slayer ~ Dead Skin Mask *shudders*When it comes to the horror genre, I am far more creeped out by human monsters than the slasher stuff or the mythological creatures. Something about the pathology/methodology of serial killers is pretty much the scariest thing I can fathom. My skin will literally crawl every time at the end of this tune when a small boys voice screams (in futility) to be let out...NOW!! For those who don't know, it's about a man named Ed Gein who did extremely bizarre stuff with people's skins and other body parts...after he killed them or took said parts from graves. The creepy, driving chorus until that scream: Dance with the dead in my dreamsListen to their hallowed screamsThe dead have taken my soulTemptation, lost all control !! |

| Ohhh I misunderstood As for songs that kinda gave me the creeps I have only one and thats Metalica's "Blackened" the first time i heard it i was a teenager maybe didnt fully understand the song or just the mindset of the time but i remember laying in bed trying to sleep and would constantly swear id hear the opening guitar which was fine but the lines "Watch your Mother put to death, see your mother die" those lines would echo over and over and it freaked me the fadge out, to the point where i wouldnt listen to that album for years because of it _________________ When I think about the time that you loved me through my pain, you took me by the hand and gave me hope again
