This is the solo effort from the guy behind the astral-doom-death stylings of maudlin of the Well and the more post-rock/avant garde of Kayo Dot. If you like a more sinister, calm Eno or Univers Zero, or maybe the more memorable pieces from GYBE! (there aren't many IMO), you'll dig this. It's very minimalistic, sinister, and dark, but at the same time retains an organic feel, as the instrumentation is mostly various woodwinds, some guitar, a little percussion, little unique touches being utilized, like tuning forks, etc, topped off with some demented Jeff Buckley-ish vocals that pepper small parts of a couple of songs. Very ambient...drawn out...avant garde.
