While Kitaro is not all the way electronic, I have to say that he is one of my all time favorite mellow/chill artists... He's not afraid to lay down ethnic instrumentation with korg soundscapes and David Gilmour like lead guitars... sheer wonder he is!

I've heard only a little bit of stuff from him, and that was YEARS ago. I don't remember much about him. Maybe another comp is in order? GEEN!

Start off with the Enchanted Evening CD and DVD if you can get them... So amazing!! The best part is that Kitaro did not go back and fix any mistakes - it's truly live.

Here are some various video links of his - couldn't find any from Enchanted Evening...

I lied... here's a tune from enchanted evening - but the video doesn't play...

No, man. I haven't had a chance. Been too busy being on my recent lengthy Zappa kick to pay much attention to anything else! Laughing

I listened to Astral Voyage (which you sent me). Sounds pretty cool, although I'm not a huge fan of Asian sounding stuff. Some cool atmospherics though!

He's going to have a lot of traditional asian sounds blended with floyd guitars and lots of Korg soundscapes!

I wish I had his skills!
