Listen through their stuff and they have some real sludgy doom parts or songs on almost every album. WMARD has a ton of slowed down riffage what with Franklin on a couple songs and Friedman even scales down the speed. I have a hunch Ted listened to a lot of Sabbath in his day.

Yeah - Tourniquet is cool! Both the slow & the fast stuff... I've heard Ted even did a gig with Trouble back in the early nineties.

Wouldn't call them doom, slow parts don't really mean doom.

Ted played one gig or so with Trouble and was replaced with Barry Stern Ted is a big Trouble fan so that is a major influence.. of course I haven't listened to them in years

Slow parts don't mean doom but they have songs that are full on slow and very doom like.

Where Moth and Rust Destroy defintitely has some doom moments on it, most notably "A Ghost at the Wheel" (which features Bruce Franklin) and "In Death We Rise", but that's about as much as I can hear on that particular album. They also covered "The Tempter" by TROUBLE on their volume of the Intense Live Series CD. |

The had two songs on the first two albums that were doom-ish... but I think that is just the Trouble vibe seeping through

| regardless of whether or not one could call them doom, one of Tourniquet's strong points has always been their level of variation on their albums, even without venturing too far from their single sub-genre. _________________ ---- Theyyyyy sayyyy myyy songggsss are much too slowww....

Tourniquet are far from doom, but they do have some doom influences in their music for sure. ghosts, Are you sure it was only one show that Ted played with Trouble? I thought he was with them a bit longer than that. ult _________________

Oh that is a good track! It was before they got the dreadful new lead singer I keep waiting for the TQT police to show up LOL Dorothy we aren't in Firestream anymore! It wasn't much more than one show me thinks. He was in the band for a couple of months though. So he rehearsed with them a fair bit I think...
