I havent listened to this cd in quite awhile. Maaaaaaaaaaan what a great piece of doomy groovy! I remember hearing "Concrete Cancer" back inna day and not really getting it. I didnt really get into doom/stoner until I heard Pentagram "Day of Reckoning" in the late 80's.

Incarnate, from what I can gather, is a collection of stuff from the Obsessed catalog. I must find me some more of this stuff. Scott Weinrich (sp?) aka Wino was making some great groove stuff with these guys until he went on to St. Vitus.

Bro, if you like Incarnate (which is mainly recordings and singles culled from the early years) then you will LOVE the s/t debut and it's follow up Lunar Womb.

Yeah.. The S/T is still my favorite of WINO's recordings. I have both that
and Lunar Womb originals on vinyl.

The repress of the S/T on Tolotta records (Joe Lally of Fugazi's record label) has
a bonus live show as well..

I can't believe the s/t is now out of print again..

This is a great album, but I love their self titled album, though I do not have it and haven't heard it in ages. Must get hold of a copy.

Edit...just found a copy on Ebay on vinyl-must get bidding.

To this day, I STILL have not heard anything by The Obsessed....I want to so badly!!

I'd been meaning to check out THE OBSESSED for quite some time; I've been a fan of SPIRIT CARAVAN, ST. VITUS, and THE HIDDEN HAND for a while now. Last weekend I picked up Incarnate and it definitely lived up to my expectations: groove-laden, rockin' doom metal played in true Wino fashion. I can certainly see how this band was the predecessor to Spirit Caravan. I'm looking forward to hunting down their other stuff!
