Anyone heard about this? It is coming out on the 25th of next month. I
am a HUGE fan of Down's first two albums, especially NOLA. They are
some of my all-time favs, and some of the best heavy metal music that
has reached these ears. I am psyched about this album. I listened to
both Down albums twice each today in preparation (though it be a month
too soon at the moment ...)

Anyone else psyched about this?

Plus they are playing around these parts in October .. so that should be cool.

I love the meaning behind the cover..

the alchemical "green lion" devouring the sun relates to the experience of
consciousness being overwhelmed by violent, frustrated desires (often
masked by depression)




I think that is pretty fitting symbology considering what the band
members have been through these past few years..

Now if we could only get them to have WITCHCRAFT open these
upcoming shows.. that would be priceless. I know Philip and Pepper
are huge fans of that band...

I for one CAN wait... in fact I'll wait forever.

I got to see these guys open for Heaven and Hell earlier this month, and they bored me to SLEEP!! I actually fell asleep during their set. The vocalist was a real prat, and kept talking, sweraing and telling us how much fun playing in Perth was. His voice was nothing to be proud of either. I don't remember any of their songs, as they didn't play anything memorable.

On the plus side, in comparison, Heaven and Hell were just that little bit more awesome

A simply amazing band. C.O.C and Pantera are very worthy, but this 'supergroup' is just dominant.

I LOVE Down! I have the 1st 2 albums. but I haven't heard this one yet!

Personally, I like COC the best! Deliverance will forever be in the Top 20 Metal Albums!
